Meet the Coaches

Milan Napoe

Chase- I grew up with the ball at my feet. As many before me have said, it was – and still is – my best friend. Soccer is what I live and breathe, and I can’t imagine a life without it.

Since the age of 6, I’ve proudly represented the Chicago Fire. My journey began with Chicago Fire Youth, and after consistently impressing, I joined the academy as a U13 at age 11. Since then, I’ve competed in top tournaments across the country, facing some of the best players in my age group – names you might know now, like Cavan Sullivan, Mathis Albert, and Julian Hall.

I earned recognition on the national stage and even received national team call-ups – one of the highlights of my youth career. Since 2024, I’ve regularly represented Chicago Fire II in MLS NEXT Pro, featuring in every match of the 2025 season.

Throughout my time with the Fire, I’ve learned from incredible players and experienced coaches who taught me more than just soccer. They instilled in me values like determination, discipline, and the drive to follow my passion.

Now, I’m committed to giving back to the game by working with young players across Chicago. Whether you’re hoping to make a new team, sharpen your skills, or get extra training, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.

Milan- For me, the dream started when I was just 4 years old. Watching the 2014 World Cup was the moment everything changed — seeing my idols, Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, and so many more on the biggest stage lit a fire in me. From that day forward, I knew this was what I wanted to do.

Naturally, I picked up the game and started training for countless hours, working to perfect my craft. I began my youth career with Youth Soccer International (YSI), where I learned the fundamentals and built a strong foundation for the future. From there, I played anywhere and everywhere I could — local Mexican leagues, pickup games, tournaments — anything that let me step onto the field and improve.

At 12 years old, I made the move to the U14 FC United MLS Next side and began my journey there. After a breakout U14 season and a strong U15 campaign, I earned national recognition, including attention from the U.S. National Team and invitations to trial with several professional academies.

I eventually signed with the Chicago Fire Academy, but finished the season with FC United, even helping them make a playoff run. Today, at 15 years old, I am a regular starter for the U18 Chicago Fire Academy. My primary positions are LW and RB, but I pride myself on being versatile and able to play all around the field.

Through this foundation, my goal is to pass my love for the game on to the younger generation and help inspire future players to follow in Chase’s and my footsteps. Let’s be great!
